Statement of Faith and Practice:
I came to know the Lord Jesus Christ as my Savior in the FBC of Jacksonville, AR at age 8. I was called to preach at 16 in the Woodlawn Baptist Church of Crestview, FL. I am a Southern Baptist by birth, second birth, and most of all by conviction. I believe that the Bible is God's Holy Word, the truth without any mixture of error, given to lead all men into a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ, who is the Living Word of God. It is to be studied in order to grow in our faith and understanding of the Christian life. I am a staunch supporter of missions at home and abroad. As a pastor, I believe a strong pulpit ministry is highly important to the church, but the pastoral care role is vital to the spiritual health of the fellowship. I see my leadership style to be that of servant-leader. Working together the pastor, staff, deacons, and members of the church can accomplish great things as the Holy Spirit leads and empowers them. Nothing can be done without Jesus at the center (John 15), but with Paul I believe that "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." (Phil. 4: 13)
