Garry Barber

Currently serving as Director of Bread of Life Ministries. Over the past twenty plus years I have served a pastor of three churches, most recently at First Baptist Church McCaysville, GA/Copperhill, TN in the Morganton Baptist Association. Along with pastoral and counseling ministries I have also served with the IMB for five years as a church planter in Ukraine. I remain involved in Ukraine making occasional trips to train Ukrainian pastors in Pastoral care and counseling and to conduct marriage enrichment conferences. At this time I serve also as interim pastor at Union Hill Baptist Church in Alpharetta, GA. I currently reside with my family in Jasper, GA. My wife Judith and I are both natives of Canton, GA. Judith and I have five children ranging in age from 3 years to 21 years. My education includes: B.S. Social Services (Psychology), Kennesaw State University; Master of Divinity, Southern Baptist Theological Seminary; M.A. Human Services (Marriage and Family Counseling), Liberty University; Doctoral studies in missions, Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary; and currently pursuing PhD in Christian Counseling through the National Christian Counselor's Association. I am a Certified Temperament Counselor (NCCA) and a Professional Clinical Member of the National Christian Counselor's Association. This Fall I plan to receive the License of Clinical Pastoral Counseling.
